Full through the leg, high at the waist, long enough to break on the shoe. Cut from a heavy cotton twill with enough weight to hang properly. Comes unhemmed by an inch so your tailor has something to work with.

How it is cut

Sized on the waist and full from there down. It sits high, so measure where you actually want the waistband to be rather than at your hips.

Model is 5ft 9 with a 30in waist, wearing a S. Left unhemmed.

Everything here is cut relaxed, so the numbers below are your own measurements rather than the garment’s. Between two sizes, take the smaller one: it will still be roomy.

Where to put the tape

Chest.
Under the arms, around the fullest part, tape level and not pulled tight.
Waist.
Around the narrowest part of your middle, usually just above the navel.
Hip.
Around the fullest part, with your feet together.

    Leaving them an inch long unhemmed is the best decision on this whole site. Cost eight pounds to take up and now they break exactly where I want.

    I read the note about where the waistband sits after I ordered, which was the wrong order to do it in. The exchange was painless. Heavy twill, hangs beautifully.
