The plainest thing on the frame. A fine-gauge crew in an undyed cotton that has been washed rather than coloured, so it sits between grey and cream depending on the light. Nothing on it at all.

Size

How it is cut

10cm over the chest, close enough to go under the Cotton Overshirt. Take your usual size.

Model is 5ft 11 with a 39in chest, wearing a M.

Everything here is cut relaxed, so the numbers below are your own measurements rather than the garment’s. Between two sizes, take the smaller one: it will still be roomy.

Where to put the tape

Chest.
Under the arms, around the fullest part, tape level and not pulled tight.
Waist.
Around the narrowest part of your middle, usually just above the navel.
Hip.
Around the fullest part, with your feet together.
