Cable-knitted in a mill outside Huddersfield from a heavy cotton yarn nobody has dyed, which is why the cream is not quite the same twice. Warm without the itch, and it can go in the machine. Will outlast most other garments.

Size

How it is cut

16cm over the chest so it goes over a shirt. Wearing it on its own, a size down is closer without being tight.

Model is 6ft with a 40in chest, wearing a M.

Everything here is cut relaxed, so the numbers below are your own measurements rather than the garment’s. Between two sizes, take the smaller one: it will still be roomy.

Where to put the tape

Chest.
Under the arms, around the fullest part, tape level and not pulled tight.
Waist.
Around the narrowest part of your middle, usually just above the navel.
Hip.
Around the fullest part, with your feet together.

    Wool makes me itch and this does not, and it is warmer than it has any right to be. Washed it in the machine on cool, dried it flat, no change at all.

    Was out of stock in my size for six weeks and they emailed the morning it came back. Cream is slightly different to the photograph and that is because nobody dyed it, which I like.

    Genuinely thick. Will not go under a coat, so I bought the Cable Knit for that. Between the two of them I have stopped wearing anything else all winter.
